Austria Retirement Residence Permit
Austria offers a residence permit for retirement that is available for people over the age of 55 who are not employed and can prove that they have sufficient income to support themselves. This permit allows the holder to live in Austria for up to five years. In order to apply, an individual must provide evidence of their income, such as pension payments, and must also provide proof of health insurance and have a valid passport. As part of the application process, the applicant may be required to go for an interview with the Austrian Embassy or Consulate in their country of residence. Once approved, the permit can be renewed every five years.
