United States Visas for victims of crime and human trafficking
The United States offers a variety of visas for victims of crime and human trafficking including the U-Visa, T-Visa, and VAWA Self-Petition. Immigrants who have been victims of physical or psychological abuse as a result of an offense committed in the United States and who have assisted authorities in an inquiry or prosecution of the crime are eligible for a U-Visa. The T-Visa is available to immigrants who are victims of human trafficking and have been helpful in the prosecution of the traffickers. The VAWA Self-Petition is available to victims of domestic violence who can demonstrate that they have suffered abuse by a U.S. citizen or legal resident. All these visas provide protection to victims of crime and human trafficking and allow them to remain in the United States legally. For more assistance, reach out to the United States Immigration Department.
